LeaPPS (Learning for Policy and Practice in Sanitation & Hygiene) is a joint initiative of IRC and Uganda partners SNV and NETWAS Uganda.
It has been running for two years 2007 t0 2009 in four districts.

The overall aim is to generate more cost-efficient and effective sanitation & hygiene programmes and sustainable facilities and behaviours. It contributes to district and sub-district enhancement of sanitation and hygiene sector performance

It comprised 4 elements:
  • learning sessions,
  • capacity building,
  • Action research,
  • Documentation and advocacy
