LeaPPS
LeaPPS (Learning for Policy and Practice in Sanitation & Hygiene) was a joint initiative of IRC and Uganda partners SNV and NETWAS Uganda.
It ran for two years 2007 t0 2009 in four districts.
The overall aim was to generate more cost-efficient and effective sanitation & hygiene programmes and sustainable facilities and behaviours. It contributes to district and sub-district enhancement of sanitation and hygiene sector performance
It comprised 4 elements:
learning sessions,
capacity building,
Action research,
Documentation and advocacy
